What Is A Family (Cannabis) Farm?

HuMMAP will be making a presentation at the Hemp Fest this weekend at the Mateel Community Center in Redway. We’ll be soliciting opinions from the community to help guide the future of the cannabis industry in Humboldt.

The key questions we’d like you to help us answer are: How would you define a “small family grower?” and What should the size limit be for a family grower (in square feet of growing space)?

Post your comments here or send us an email or look for our booth at the Hemp Fest and let us know your thoughts. Include your watershed as well, so we can see if there are any regional differences.

here’s a question I’d like to hear answered: How many of you voted against Prop 19?

  • Admin

Well, that depends on whom you mean by “who.” Humboldt County voters voted yes on Prop 19 at a slightly higher rate than the rest of the state. If you mean the HuMMAP members, as far as I know, we all voted yes and we all will be actively promoting future legalization as well.

I voted against it because it had a clause in it that would put anyone caught smoking marijuana in the presence of a minor in prison for 3-4 years. I will not support any legislation that puts smokers behind bars for any reason! They can easily construct another more reasonable piece of legislation!!!!!!!
